Chiropractic Care

Unlike symptom-based conventional medicine which treats a condition through drugs or surgery, chiropractic looks to the cause versus addressing symptoms. We seek to find out what’s causing the dysfunction, whether it’s a pinched nerve in your spine or a lack of specific nutrition.

How Nervous System Interference Disrupts Your Health

If you’re in a sympathetic or fight-or-flight state you’re not going to heal, repair or replenish. You’ll feel stressed and your immune system will be taxed and unable to fight off infection.

Chiropractic care at Good Health Chiropractic & Acupuncture takes a holistic approach to health and wellness by removing interference or subluxation in your nervous system.

Benefits of Chiropractic

When interference in the nervous system is removed you can have a stronger immune system, more energy, greater range of motion and much more.

The first thing Dr. Good will do is perform a consultation to determine what systems of your body are affected. Next, he will examine you, focusing on the affected areas. Then he will determine what treatment is needed to get you on the track of healing and regulating.

Here are some of the many conditions for which patients seek chiropractic care:

  • Pain and disc issues
  • Digestive issues

  • Headache
  • Neck pain

We primarily use a traditional Diversified approach, which is a hands-on method. We also utilized a technique called Prone Specific. With the Prone Specific technique you can perform an adjustment using much less force.

Dr. Good is also trained in the Activator Methods® which is an instrument-assisted technique that’s ideal for older patients or those who are apprehensive about getting a manual adjustment.

Could chiropractic help me prevent disc surgery?

It may. Fortunately, there is much that can be done for disc issues to avoid surgery.
How do you put nervous patients at ease?

We understand that if you’ve never been adjusted before that you may be unsure of what to expect. Dr. Good will explain that he will use a gentle hands-on technique that uses light force. He also will walk you through the process so there are no surprises.
How often will I need to come in?

It depends on what you’re seeing us for. If you have an acute condition then we will have you come in more frequently at the beginning of your care plan. Then, after corrective care and stability have been reached we may see you every few weeks. Some maintenance patients come in once a month to make sure they keep their spine healthy and aligned.
What's that popping sound?

During a manual adjustment, you might feel a popping or shifting sensation as you’re going through different motions. Those are expected as we’re seeking to correct a misalignment.
Do you also offer nutrition services?

Yes, we can help to replenish depleted nutrient levels and accelerate your body’s ability to heal.
